If we don’t have a current vacancy that is suitable, you can sign up for Job Alerts to be emailed to you when a relevant vacancy is advertised.

Your Account

Once you have registered with us, you will be sent an email with your username and password. If you are unable to complete an application fully or experience connection problems, please use this login information to log into your account again to continue with your application.

Once you submit your completed application, you will receive an email confirmation. If you have forgotten your password, use the link at the login screen to have your password emailed to you.

Job Profiles

Be sure to click through to the Job Profile information on the role, which can be found at the bottom of the job advert, as this provides detailed information on the role, which we will refer to throughout the application process.

It’s important you read this information carefully as the decision to shortlist you for interview will be based on the information you provide in your application.

When completing your application, look at the skills and experience required for the job. Please give as much detail in regard to how your own experience, be it work related or not and ensure it relates to the requirements of the job. Applicants should also address the competencies required to undertake the job and match through detailing relevant experience how they fulfil the competencies and requirements of the job.

Do not forget the skills and experience you have gained outside full time employment. If you have been out of paid employment for a long time, your job history might be less important than the responsibilities and experience you have gained elsewhere, for example, you may have relevant experience in a voluntary capacity or from college or university.

Closing Dates

Remember to take a note of the closing date for applications, as once this date has passed we cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted.

Application Information

During the application process we will be asking for details of your education, work experience and qualifications, along with additional information we need to enable us to assess your suitability to the role.

We will also require names and addresses of two referees which should include your current or most recent employer. You should give the name of your line manager as a referee and not names of friends or colleagues.

You will also be required to complete equal opportunities monitoring information. You may want get this information ready before starting your application. If you haven’t already applied to for a United Response role you will be asked to complete a short registration form before completing your application. Once you have done this you will receive an email confirming your account details.

If you have applied to United Response before all you need to do is enter the username and password you provided us with previously and you’ll log straight into your account where you can continue with your application. Once you have registered you can save the information entered in your application at any stage and return to it any time before the closing date. Go to the ‘Your Account’ button to log back into your account and view your previous and current applications.

References

United Response has a very strict policy on references and will always ensure satisfactory references are received from your most recent employers. The line manager of former or current United Response employees will always be contacted for a reference.

Because United Response works directly with vulnerable adults , our policy is to approach current and previous employers and any other body we consider appropriate, to verify and comment on an applicant’s ability, where it is reasonable to do so.

All offers of employment made by United Response are done so strictly subject to satisfactory references being received and United Response retain the right to categorically retract an offer of employment should any reference be unsatisfactory.

Criminal Records Checks

Compliance with the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act is also required. All staff who work with People we Support are required to complete Criminal Record Checks prior to engagement.

Work Permits

Compliance with the provision of the Asylum & Immigration Act is also required. All staff will be required to show proof of their right to work in the UK prior to engagement. Feedback United Response will always endeavour to give candidate feedback.
